Finland joins the energy efficiency initiative of Cefic

RC 6.jpgEuropean Chemical Industry Council Cefic represents 29,000 large, medium and small chemical companies in Europe, which directly provide 1.2 million jobs and account for 20% of world chemical production.

The EU co-funded project, called ‘Sectoral Platform in Chemicals for Energy Efficiency Excellence’ (SPiCE3), aims to boost energy efficiency in chemicals SMEs, which count for the majority of sector firms and often hold untapped energy management potential.

Coordinated by Cefic, the SPICE3 project brings together 11 national chemical federations, which together represent around four-fifths of European chemicals industry sales. F

Countries scheduled to take part in the April launch are Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy, The Netherlands, Poland, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
