EU chemicals sector output drops 1.4 per cent during first seven months of year
EU chemicals confidence improves in August, second quarter capacity utilisation increases to 78.1 per cent
EU chemicals production decreased by 1.4 per cent during the first seven months of 2013 compared with the same period in 2012.
The EU chemicals net trade surplus reached €25.4 billion during the first six months of the year – a €1.2 billion improvement on the same period last year. EU chemical prices in July 2013 were 0.4 per cent higher than in July 2012.
