Call for Responsible Care energy efficiency/SPiCE³ award entries – apply until 1 June!

Cefic, the European Chemical Industry Council, has announced the European Responsible Care (RC) Awards 2014 competition is now open. For the second time, the award scheme has teamed up with SPiCE3 to give out the energy efficiency prize.

The European Responsible Care Awards, now in their ninth year, are designed to highlight concrete examples of how the chemical industry is high-tech, innovative and sustainable. The goal of the energy efficiency/SPiCE³ award is to showcase energy efficiency efforts of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Other Responsible Care prizes will also be given out this year.

The first Responsible Care energy efficiency/SPiCE³ special award was won last year by the GSK Pharmaceuticals site in Irvine, Scotland – the largest energy and water consumer of the group’s 80 manufacturing sites worldwide.
