Pekka Hotti appointed Deputy Director-General of the Chemical Industry Federation

The Chemical Industry Federation of Finland has appointed Mr Pekka Hotti, LL.M., as Deputy Director-General, starting 1 March 2013.

Pekka Hotti also continues as Director of Labour Market and Legal Affairs at the Chemical Industry Federation. He has held a position at the Chemical Industry Federation, and its predecessors, since 1982.

The Chemical Industry Federation of Finland is a trade association for the chemical industry and its closely related sectors, covering both business and labour market policy issues. The Chemical Industry Federation of Finland has over 400 member companies and 13 member and cooperation associations.

The chemical industry is one of the biggest industrial sectors in Finland. Its gross output is about 20% of the total industrial output in Finland, and its share of Finnish industrial exports amounts to nearly 25%. The chemical industry employs over 30,000 people in Finland.
